Joanne Rusina has her B.A. in economics and mathematics from Vanderbilt University and her M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA.  Throughout her career, she has focused on strategy formulation, change management and business unit performance improvement.  She also has a passion for entrepreneurship, organizational development and career management.  At PSU, she teaches the undergraduate capstone course in business strategy.  

Joanne has experience in strategy and business planning in several industries including healthcare, child care and multi-unit retail.  In addition, the first several years of her career were in strategic management consulting.  Some of the organizations with which she has worked include KinderCare Learning Centers, Inc., Murad, Inc., Oregon Health Sciences University, Federated Department Stores and UC Davis Health System.
