John Bizjak, Ph.d.

The School of Business Administration is proud to announce the appointment of John Bizjak, Ph.D., as The Gerry and Marilyn Cameron Professor of Finance

John Bizjak received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Utah, and his Economics B. A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

His research examines the costs of litigation; the use of derivative securities by corporate insiders; compensation practices; and the value of stock options used for executive compensation. Dr. Bizjak’s research in these areas has been published in leading academic journals and has been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist and Business Week.

At PSU, Dr. Bizjak teaches courses in corporate financial management, portfolio theory, and hedging and risk management.

Dr. Bizjak is the first recipient of the Gerry and Marilyn Cameron Professorship of Finance. The Cameron Professorship was endowed through a generous donation from the Camerons to support faculty in the area of finance. Gerry Cameron, former CEO and Chairman of U.S. Bancorp, is dedicated to higher education and is a leading supporter of PSU’s School of Business.
