Rodney K. Rogers, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the School of Business Administration at Portland State University and is currently serving as Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs. As Associate Dean, Rodney is responsible for the direction and quality of the degree programs (graduate and undergraduate) within the business school. Rodney has taught financial reporting, performance measurement and international financial reporting in various undergraduate and graduate programs. His research focuses on the ways in which financial analysts use information, strategies firms employ to disclose information to the marketplace, and the institutional role of the accounting profession within the capital markets. His research has been published in a variety of academic and professional journals including, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Financial Statement Analysis.

In addition to teaching in the degree programs at Portland State, Rodney has consulted with a variety of businesses and organizations including Nike, Wendy’s International, Schnitzer Steel, Waggner-Edstrom, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. Rodney has a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to completing his Ph.D. at Case, he practiced as a CPA in the Auditing and Tax areas for ten years. Rodney is a Cleveland Indians fan, active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the quickly aging father of twin 8 year old boys.
