Dr. Elizabeth Almer, Assistant Professor of Accounting, joined the School of Business faculty in 2001. She has a B.S. from Santa Clara University and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University.
Dr. Almer’s primary research interests relate to workplace issues affecting public accounting firms including work-life balance, auditor ethics, and cross-cultural and diversity issues. Her research has been published in Behavioral Research in Accounting, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory , Accounting Horizons , Issues in Accounting Education, The Journal of Accountancy and several other journals. Dr. Almer serves on the editorial boards of Issues in Accounting Education, as well as Research on Professional Responsibility and Ethics in Accounting.
Dr. Almer is the first recipient of the Meadows Faculty Fellowship, which is supported by a generous gift from William and Jan Meadows. William Meadows is a ‘64 SBA alumnus. The Meadows also support the Meadows Family Scholarship.
