Information Sessions Scheduled for Leadership and Innovation-based Online MBA+
(Portland, OR) March 14, 2005 – The School of Business at Portland State University (PSU) is hosting a series of information sessions on its new MBA+ program, now available through a convenient online format for business school candidates living outside the Portland area.
The presentations are scheduled in Salem on March 30 (AM), in Eugene March 30 (PM), Medford on April 7, and in Bend on April 8. Specific times, locations and reservation information are available at 503-725-3766.
PSU’s MBA+ features a new leadership and innovation-based curriculum, unique regionally if not nationally. The 2 1/2 year program fully integrates these concepts into every course, every day, and uses real-time regional economics to frame coursework. MBA+ also features one-on-one leadership development coaching, business project immersions and 360° assessments, a tool used to evaluate managerial aptitude.
MBA+ students not only master traditional MBA technical foundation skills; they become proficient in a dozen internationally-recognized management competencies and take on real-world experiences demanding these combined “hard” and “soft” skills. Graduates in the program benefit from the expanded learning experience that can be applied to current or future employment; employers benefit from hiring enhanced and broadened skill sets of the MBA+ students.
Online work mirrors the MBA+ classes one would take at PSU’s downtown Portland campus: identical core classes are offered and are taught by the same faculty, and graduates’ degrees are full MBAs. The full complement of graduate career services is also included in the online version.
