SBA Professors Receive $65,000 KPMG Grant
KPMG and the University of Illinois Business Measurement Research Program recently granted $65,000 to SBA Associate Professor of Accounting Darrell Brown and SBA Assistant Professor of Accounting Scott Marshall, along with Marlene Plumlee, Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Utah, and Shannon Tocchini, Project Manager, Corporate Environmental Affairs at LP Corporation. The team will use the grant to study the relationship between the quality of environmental disclosures by public companies and their costs of equity capital.
“This level of support is external validation of the quality and importance of our faculty,” Scott Dawson, SBA Dean said. “It is a fantastic opportunity for our faculty.”
