Bruce Stern, Ph.D. honored at the annual Marketing Education Association meeting with a Lifetime Achievement Award. |
Portland, OR – The Lifetime Achievement in Marketing Education recognizes marketing educators who have provided the highest and most meritorious contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of Marketing Education. This award is presented to individuals like Dr. Stern, who have devoted 20 or more years of service to Marketing Education above their required job duties.
Bruce Stern holds a B.S. and M.B.A. from Portland State University and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University. Dr. Stern primarily teaches marketing research and consumer behavior at the School of Business Administration at Portland State University. He has done research in the areas of information content of advertising and consumer awareness and behavior.
Dr. Stern is committed and dedicated to the profession, the University, the School and his colleagues and has in the past been honored with awards such as the Branford Price Millar Award for Faculty Excellence and the Earl Wantland Outstanding Business Professor Award.
He is a past president of the Oregon Chapter of the American Marketing Association, the Western Marketing Educators Association, and is currently head of Crescendo, Oregon Symphony's business support volunteer group. He holds the position of editor for Marketing Education Review.
